Important Resources
On this page, you will find several important resources that serve different purposes. We have included (#1-3) the option to search for inmates located within the tri-county (Charleston, Berkeley, Dorchester) area.
The SC Courts (#4) website is a very good website where you can find information regarding civil and criminal cases within the state of South Carolina. For criminal cases, SC Courts may show if an individual has an active bench warrant. * Bench warrants are not the same as arrest warrants though. Bench warrants are normally issued by a judge when a defendant misses or fails to appear for their court date(s). if someone has failed to appear (FTA) for their general sessions (circuit level) court date, you normally will be able to see if a bench warrant for failure to appear has been issued.
* As long as the FAILLURE TO APPEAR has been entered into the database. Some municipalities are faster than others with updating the database.
Arrest warrants are normally issued for brand new charges. For example, arrest warrants are typically issued whenever there is probable cause that a crime has been committed. The SC Courts does not contain any information on new arrest warrants.
Next (#5) we have included a link to SC Senate Bill 533. This provides important information about the new SC bail laws that went into effect in 2023. With this new law being implemented, we have seen many changes that have impacted the criminal justice system and also the bail bonding industry here in South Carolina. We felt it was important enough to link to our website so that our visitors can take a look at it for themselves.
Next (#6) is Vinelink. This is an extremely valuable service for crime victims as well as family members of crime victims, Vinelink informs them when their offender is about to be released from custody, and then again after they are released from custody. Vinelink is considered to be the nation's leading victim notification network. It allows victims of crimes, concerned citizens, and family members access to reliable/timely information regarding an offender's status. Vinelink is a very useful tool that we utilize quite often. We receive many calls from family members or friends who will ask us if we could find out if their loved one is in jail. We simply input their name into vinelink and quickly find out if the person they are looking for is in a custody or not. If they are in custody, we then provide them with the location.
We have also included a separate pay tab at the bottom of the page. The initial bond payment (premium) can be paid by clicking the pay tab. For those making their bond payments, this is a convenient way to make sure that the payments are made on time.
